The software prints a unique barcode tracking label for each asset. This makes it possible to take inventory quickly and accurately with portable barcode scanners, including the economical CS-1504 "keychain" barcode scanner and the CS-2000 pocket scanner from Symbol Technologies. When the scanner is plugged into your computer, data is uploaded into the Fixed Assets database. A physical inventory reconciliation report documents the current location of every asset and highlights any that have not been accounted for. When you are done taking physical inventory, you can be sure that it accurately reflects the true situation.

For technical information, here is a link to the manufacturer's website. Note: The CS-1504 is available with USB or RS232C interface; if you are using Windows XP we recommend the RS232C interface because of problems with the USB drivers.

Label Stock for Laser/Inkjet Printers:
The Fixed Assets software will print asset identification and location identification barcode labels on your laser or inkjet printer using standard sheets of 2.625" x 1" address labels (30 labels per sheet). These labels are available at any office supply store; to purchase on-line, click here.
