Installing a full version of Bar Tender over trial version

Some of our customers have run into the following error type when installing a new version of Bar tender on their PCs when a previous/trial version has already been installed:

File [filename] could not be found or is incorrect version.

Solution follows.

1. Save any design files in a safe location
2. Run the Uninstall Bar Tender program
3. Goto Start Menu > Settings > Control Panel
        Double click on Add/Remove Programs
        uninstall Bar Tender if it appears there
4. Delete folder where old version of Bar Tender was installed
        usually C:\Program Files\BarTender
5. Install the new version of Bar Tender
